I ordered an XP 1600+ AGOIA this morning from newegg and a unlocking kit (just in case) and a shim from highspeedpc.com, I was searching on google for AGOIA and saw some 1600+ OC's to 2.058Ghz using water cooling, I cant wait till mine arrives

Had to go up to 2.0 vcore to break the 1900 MHz barrier. Possible to do this with my Epox board. Couldn't do it with Abit.

fish29, before I burned up my Y, the best I could do with it was 1840 MHz. So you're probly right.

If I could get my vcore over 1.85 I could push 2300+ easy on my 1700+ but the damn thing doesn't have it in the BIOS time to do a volt mod

Several of the gurus on this forum have oc'd unlocked 1600+ to well over 1900 MHZ and are members of the 3000 club with that chip. An impossible task (I think) with a locked chip.

I put a 1600+ on an ASUS A7V333 with 256 Meg Sammy 2700, and went straight to 1827mhz (174FSB) with no mods at all.. Just kept stepping the FSB up, up, up.. Great chip. (oh, and highest benchmark on ram was like 2990, Coulda broke 3K with better than stock cooling)

Since my mobo Vcore tops out a 1.85, could I unlock my 1600+ AGOIA raise the multiplier to say 11 or 11.5, would this help me to get over the 1.9Ghz mark (vcore 1.85 11x fsb 173) (vcore 1.85 11.5x fsb 166)

Good question for kat or fish59 or c0dy or maranello or shuki or......if they are out there.
I couldn't get over 1850 with an abit KX7-333, which has a 1.85v max. Voltage tweaking required which I'm not ready to do.

I think my main problem is my Iwill XP333 Ali chipset and some crappy OCZ DDR333 memory will probably hold me back from trying to get a good overclock, but I plan on using the dividers that should help get the fsb up and keep my PCI bus at 33mhz

I just poped in my 1600+ AGOIA today and I am posting 1953+ locked, I couldnt get my fsb above 170 and it seems to be running stable at 167, I think if I could get my hands on some samsung CTL I could probably get it to post over 2000+ that was my goal, I have my dividers set at default, I try to set it a cpu/5 (cpu/166) and see if I can get it over 1170, but I think my DDR333 Ocz is the limiting factor

scarab. the xp333 is a stellar board if you know how to use it. head over to amdmb.com and check the massive thread on the xp333 for volt mods and the like. I was able to do better on the xp333 than on my kr7a. and I dont think it is the ram but the cpu that is holding you back. you can try feeding more power to the ram with a 560ohm resister..... board can go to 2.8, resister will take you to 3.0 and a 360 ohm will take you to 3.2. if you want more infor then let me know.
