So of course RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 2 Drag Movie Shequels starts out with the fallout from Alyssa’s elimination of Ginger. Detox would have sent Katya home and Phi Phi has to pipe in & say that she would have sent Katya home as well.
But before we begin – condragulations RuPaul on your Emmy!
Alyssa is having none of it. She’s standing by her decision – Alyssa thought Katya was stronger overall, even if she wasn’t as strong in this challenge. Phi Phi is a little stuck on Alyssa’s choice. And by a little stuck I mean she won’t let it go for the entire freaking episode. Katya’s doing great through all of this – she’s ready to shrug off the guilt and shame and doubt like a lice-ridden coat.
Alyssa also lets us know that if she gets eliminated, it was rigor morris girl. Rigor morris? We get to watch Alyssa learn that the term is Rigor Mortis. The more you know…

In reading their script, Phi Phi & Roxxxy decide to switch up their roles – Phi Phi taking Big Versace and Roxxxy taking Lil Versace. Over the course of filming their scene, Roxxxy keeps talking about a shaw. Wearing a shaw. A tiara and a shaw.
She’s been meaning to say sash.

Are we not going to mention that Big Freedia was in 2 out of 3 scenes? I guess not.
Is Ru not going to say “Hey Porkchop!”
Why are we seeing so many awesome cameos with no explanation of why they’re there? I guess I should just be happy I got to see them at all.
Runway theme – Two looks in one
Yes, just like Violet’s iconic tartan eleganza, the queens have to serve an outfit that turns into another outfit.
Most of the transformations are very similar to Violet’s – there’s not a lot of construction or physics going into these outfits. A short dress turns into a long one. A wrap comes off (which is a really dubious transformation if you ask me.)
Phi Phi’s transformation though is pretty damn impressive. A little Dorothy dress turns into a long yellow gown & it looks like the original dress becomes part of the long dress’ bustle.
Nicole Scherzinger is this week’s guest judge. Roxxxy fangirls all over her, but other than that she doesn’t serve a real purpose on the panel.
After the runway, we get to see our Drag Queen Shequels. As this is All Stars, they all turn out great.
This time Phi Phi cries because 1. it’s a rule that someone has to and 2. she got good feedback on both her performance & runway look. I wonder if she would’ve gotten as good feedback if she didn’t look like Elizabeth Berkley.
I think the most consistent cast were Katya & Detox. Roxxxy and Alyssa are clearly in the bottom this week.
In the top are Phi Phi and Alaska. In the bottom are Alyssa, Roxxxy and Katya. What? Why the hell is Katya in there? And why the hell did we have a bottom 3 this week and only a bottom 2 last week?
Hell.
The judges this week are prank calling people.
With Phi Phi in the top, we absolutely know who she would be sending home. She doesn’t even try & doesn’t meet with the bottom 3 girls one on one. Phi Phi doesn’t want everyone begging her. She wants to focus on the judges comments only.
However, the winner of this week’s lip sync is Alaska/Little Poundcake!
We’ve gotten very little screentime with Alaska, probably to keep us in the dark about who she’s selected. And that queen turns out to be – Alyssa Edwards.
Aww, and now Alaska’s crying! Well, not too surprising, although I’m not sure how much longer Roxxxy is going to last with just good runway looks.
