Tell Congress to Support the Right to RepairWe continue to collaborate with the Auto Care Association to raise awareness and call for legislation to support the Right to Repair in the Automotive industry. NAPA is running an awareness campaign for the Right to REPAIR Act through August. Why does this matter to you?- Without an update to this law, trusted independent repair shops will be unable to fix their loyal customers' cars, and thus, consumers will have less choice and pay more for their car repairs.- Drivers are unwittingly generating revenue streams for car manufacturers every time they get behind the wheel. The vast amounts of data from driver behavior to GPS location could be sold to third parties, including advertisers, without consent or knowledge.Status of the Right to REPAIR ACT (H.R. 906): on 11/2/23, the H.R. 906 Repair Act was sent to the House-Energy and Commerce Committee. Last week we hosted the 3rd annual Vendor Summit at NAPA HQ. It coincided with our bi-annual NAPA Auto Care Advisory Council spring meeting. We had a wonderful time seeing old friends and making new connections.The Vendor Summit allows us to have face time with the Auto Care vendor partners to review the program, and how they can add value to members through their programs, as well as stay aligned with our goals, strategy, and vision. Congratulations to the 2023 Vendor Partner Award winners: Marketing & Service Excellence: Endeavor Business Media, Strategic Contributor: NAPA TRACS, MVP: Jay Sorensen, and Vendor of the Year: KUKUI. Thank you for all you do to support the Auto Care program and its members!During our time with the Council, we were able to collect feedback on their experience with the current program, share EV Training opportunities, program updates and so much more. We value our time with the National Advisory Council because they are not afraid to speak up for themselves and the Auto Care community. We also welcomed two new members representing the Southern and Mid-Atlantic divisions.Vendor partners and Auto Care Council members, thank you for your time, feedback, and dedication to helping us continue to grow the NAPA Auto Care program!
