In the new H.E.L.M. area called Athenaeum for Season of the Witch, there are two new vendors: the Ritual Table and Lectern of Divination. The Ritual Table is your usual seasonal vendor, where you will claim seasonal weapons, upgrades, bounties, etc.

Lectern of Divination is a new vendor added in Season of the Witch that allows you to collect and draw different cards that will grant bonuses in the seasonal activities depending on the card – Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning.

In this guide, you will find what the Arcana Cards are and what each of these do in the game.

How do Arcana Cards Work in Destiny 2 Season of the Witch?

You first start with Opaque Cards. These are the greyed-out mystery cards that you can see at the Lectern of Divination which are yet to be unlocked. Opaque Cards can drop from completing normal or seasonal activities, defeating bosses, completing raid encounters, or looting chests.

Once you have unlocked an Opaque Card, head over to the Lectern of Divination, where you will be able to reveal what the card actually does. Opaque Cards can either turn into a Minor or Major Aracana Card.

  • Minor Arcana: These cards will be unlocked instantly and offer small upgrades, materials, and engrams.
  • Major Arcana: Players must complete a quest to add these cards to their deck. The cards provide significant buffs and perks in Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning.

Note

You need to unlock at least five Major Arcana Cards for your Deck of Whispers in order to use them in seasonal activities.
