Although Ally Sheedy doesn't love The Breakfast Club as much as its many fans, the movie's influence on popular culture cannot be underestimated. In fact, such was its significance that The Breakfast Club even gave rise to a new generation of young stars – the Brat Pack.

The Brat Pack was a group of young actors who became famous because of how often they worked together. The pair cemented their place as part of the '80s actors in the Brat Packafter starring in movies that defined the 1980s teenage experience, including, St. Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink, and Sixteen Candles. However, despite the frequency of their 80s collaborations, the Brat Pack hasn't remained united throughout the previous decades. In part, this is what makes Sheedy and Ringwald's successful reunion nearly four decades on from The Breakfast Club so noteworthy.

By contrast, Ringwald guest starred on the TV show as Alice, Carol’s seemingly perfect sister-in-law who has a knack for getting under her skin and can do nothing wrong in Sam’s eyes. Because of these traits, Carol and Alice seemed to be the opposite of The Breakfast Club’s Claire Standish and Allison Reynolds, making Sheedy and Ringwald's on-screen reunion a significant moment for fans of The Breakfast Club's legacy.
